Born 1964 in Zabrze, Poland. Studies of Communication design at the Bergischen University Wuppertal, Germany. Degree: Dipl. Communication designer.
Already during my studies with Prof. Bazon Brock at the Bergischen University Wuppertal, I was intensely engaged with the correlation of economics and culture. While attending university I founded my own communications agency. In 1990 I started BOROS GmbH, which quickly expanded and attracted lots of attention for its unusual works with the youth channel VIVA for example. In 1999 I founded BOROS.INTERAKTIV GmbH. Today, the BOROS group is located in Wuppertal, Berlin and New York. Besides classic economic enterprises and media brands, museums and cultural institutions are also among our customers.
Additionally, I advise economic corporations and cultural institutions on questions about communication and the positioning and regularly lecture on the topic “culture as an economic factor”. I have had a lectureship at the Bergischen University Wuppertal und held a series of courses at the private university Witten-Herdecke and the Offenbach Academy of Art and Design. Since 1990 I have established one of the largest art collections of young contemporary art in Germany and since 2008 The BOROS Foundation, founded by me, presents selected highlights of my collection in a converted bunker in Berlin-Central. Since 2008 I am a member of the curatorship "Circle of Friends" of the National Gallery and a member of the Society of Friends of the Art Collection North Rhine-Westphalia
